Theme & Speakers

  • Rev. Jason Shi
Adult Program — "Living in Christ"
    Speaker: Rev. Jason Shi
Senior Pastor, Chinese Christian Church of Greater Jackson

We are often burdened by shame, anger, weariness, and a lost sense of identity. Many try to find freedom through self-protection, emotional control, personal achievement, or worldly approval, yet true freedom remains elusive. In Christ, however, we are accepted, justified, cared for, and given a new identity by God. As we learn to truly live in Christ, we can experience His glory, overcome the struggles within our hearts, find true rest in Him, and be transformed by His renewing grace.

Rev. Jason Shi was born in the 1980s and grew up in mainland China. After years of struggling with depression, confusion, and a sense of aimlessness, he repented and came to faith in Christ while studying in the United States. Through this experience of new life in Christ, he received God's call to ministry, left his previous engineering background, and entered seminary for full-time ministry training. Since 2015, Rev. Shi has been serving at the Chinese Christian Church of Greater Jackson in Mississippi, where he currently serves as pastor. He has also been a speaker at retreats and evangelistic conferences hosted by various churches. Rev. Shi and his wife are raising a son and a daughter.

The adult program will be conducted in Chinese with live English interpretation.

    • Session 1 — No Longer Lost: Identity in Christ
    • Session 2 — Freedom from Shame: Glory in Christ
    • Session 3 — Laying Down Our Burdens: Rest in Christ
    • Session 4 — Overcoming Anger: Justice in Christ
  • Jessie Yin
Youth Program — "Living in Christ"
    Speaker: Jessie Yin
AbcYouth Ministry Leader; Doctoral Candidate in Intercultural Education, Western Seminary

Through engaging biblical teaching, a drama workshop, and small-group interaction, students will journey from "Who Am I?" to "The Father's Love" and "Strength, Weakness, and God's Grace." The program is designed to help youth discover their identity in Christ, experience the unconditional love of the Father, grow in God's grace, build a strong foundation of faith, and learn to truly live in Christ.

Jessie Yin is currently pursuing a Doctor of Intercultural Education degree at Western Seminary. She holds a Master of Divinity degree from China Evangelical Seminary North America and a Master's degree in Language Teaching and Multimedia from the University of Warwick, UK. Jessie has partnered with various organizations and churches for many years, focusing on developing innovative approaches to youth faith formation.

The youth program will be conducted in English.

    • Session 2 — The Father's Love: Finding Security in Christ
    • Session 3 — Drama Workshop: The Father's Love
